Movie making first began in the 1700's. Which they would use magic lanterns to make there movies which they would make them work with magic. Then there was the 1800's and a lot happened in the 1800's for movie making for example 1832 Joseph Plateau and his sons made a Phenakistoscope. It would have been a illusion with a toy and two mirrors to make it like a movie but it was actually an illusion. Here's a video to show you the history behind movies!!! Hope you'll enjoy it!!!
From 1884 to 1882 people have been using photos to make movie's by playing them fast so it will look almost like a horse running. 1888-1893 they were still using photographs to make the movies but they had made special king of cameras and they were bigger like this. And it was invented by Thomas A. Edison.
Then from 1894-1897 they would use flexible film and they would have been cut by 35mm wide. They would have a picture on each film so when they would play it they would play it fast to make it look like someone or somethings moving.
Then from 1897 to 2012 people have been reinventing and making new ways to make movies and enjoy it easier now 2014 we use professional cameras to make a movie.
